Reg Corns, Elsie Hathaway & Sid Coles

Gail Smith gave us a wonderful talk on the life of her father who was placed in the Elinor Farm Home in New Brunswick.

Dr. Patricia Roberts-Pichette and Caroline Herbert from the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa made a wonderful presentation for our members. Their presentation included the reading of several letters that had been hand writen by the children to the Middlemore Homes.

Councillor Reginald Corns, of Birmingham, England spoke to us about the view he had of the Emigration sheme. He was also a resident of the Middlemore Homes. Mr Corns is an elected member to the City working in  Family welfare service, which also includes sitting on the Adoption Committee of Birmingham City.
