This page is set t up to post documents that may help you with your research on your British Home Child. In 1999 and 2000, my husband and I spent a small fortune in dimes to photo copy the medical reports of the Middlmore children while we were in Ottawa. I have only had the hard copies to work off of since that time. These files have not been open to the public except at the National Archives to view, however Heritage Canada has released scans of these documents and they can be found and viewed at http://heritage.canadiana.ca
I will post links to their sites for some of their collections to make it easier, however the files are not indexed so it is difficult to search.
The documents I am posting here will be from my own collection.
I must note that some of the pages are very dark and could be difficult to view. Some pages had markings and stroke marks over names. This usually meant that that child was refused at the time to be shipped to Canada, possibly due to health issues.
I hope that these pages will be of some help to families. There are several and this is still an ongoing project.
